10 Best Rideshare accident lawyers in Arizona (Reviewed in 2026)

Ten lawyers, all in Phoenix, each looked up by hand in the Arizona bar register. One carries a public disciplinary record — the most recent on this site. And Arizona says, on every record it publishes, that what it shows is incomplete.

The only board-certified lawyer in this city. His register records a Board Certified Legal Specialization in Injury & Wrongful Death Litigation and membership of the Trial Practice Section — two fields Arizona publishes and most states do not. His discipline field, however, carried no value at all, so it is marked not established rather than green.

Admitted to practise law in 1995 and to the Arizona bar in 2009 — a fourteen-year gap his own bio explains: he built and sold a Florida practice first. His Florida licence is recorded Inactive, which Arizona publishes and most registers do not. His registered office is in Surprise, in Phoenix's metro but not the city.

Admitted 9 October 2025 — under a year at the bar, and the newest lawyer on this site by a wide margin. Arizona publishes discipline without a time window, so “None” covers his whole career; that career is nine months long. His register entry carries no address, so the address here is the firm's.

What the Arizona register tells you

Arizona prints “Discipline: None” affirmatively, which puts it in the better half of our nine. It also records two things most states do not: whether a lawyer carries professional liability insurance, and any board certified specializations.

Then it adds a caveat in its own words: the website does not display all public sanctions or public information concerning a lawyer’s disciplinary history, and directs anyone wanting the complete record to submit a history request form.

So “None” here means none displayed, and the Bar itself says that is not necessarily the whole file. We have not submitted the form for anybody. Kelly’s profile has carried that gap in the open since this page began; it now applies to all ten.

The one displayed sanction

Afshin Afsharimehr carries an Admonition and Probation under case 24-0222, both effective 12 May 2025, with the probation recorded complete on 12 May 2026 — about ten weeks before we checked. That makes it the most recent sanction anywhere on this site. He is recorded Active.

Arizona gives the date, the activity, the case number and the number of charges. It does not give the conduct, and we are not going to invent it. Note what the Bar’s own disclaimer means here: it applies to his record too, so the displayed history is not necessarily complete in either direction.

Two fields most registers don’t have

Arizona publishes a jurisdictions field with Active or Inactive status for every state a lawyer is admitted in. That is a genuine advance on Texas, Florida and Nevada, where a second-state admission is either a self-reported line or nothing at all. Lucas Edwards shows three jurisdictions, all Active. Ken Gerber’s Florida licence is recorded Inactive, and Afsharimehr’s New Mexico likewise — a distinction no other register on this site draws.

It also separates “admitted to practice law” from “admitted to the State Bar of Arizona”. Three of these ten qualified elsewhere first and carry two dates: Gerber (1995 and 2009, a fourteen-year gap he spent building a Florida practice), Edwards (2011 and 2013) and Meltzer (2014 and 2017). On a Texas or Nevada record you would see only the later date and read it as the whole career.

Where the register contradicts itself

Kyle Sherman’s record disagrees with itself. The firm field says Ramos Law. The biography field, further down the same page, begins “Kyle Sherman joined Curry, Pearson & Wooten…” — a firm he has left. The Bar publishes both. Only one can be current, and the register will not tell you which.

What we haven’t checked

Not established. The Arizona history request form, which the State Bar says is needed for a lawyer’s entire disciplinary record — not submitted for any of the ten, which means every “None” on this page is bounded by what the Bar chooses to display. What Afsharimehr’s 2025 admonition and probation were for — the Bar publishes the activity, not the conduct. Tonkin’s disciplinary history, whose field carried no value at all in the record supplied, so his listing shows a dash rather than a green “None”. Seven out-of-state jurisdiction entries across five lawyers, all recorded by the register and none opened by us — Edwards’s California and New Mexico, Meltzer’s Nevada, Afsharimehr’s Colorado and New Mexico, Gerber’s Florida, Tonkin’s Utah. Addresses of record for Black and Tillinghast, neither of whose entries carries one. Practice areas and fee terms for all ten — Arizona publishes neither, so every rideshare tag here rests on the firm’s own marketing. Court records for any settlement figure. A bar check is a floor, not a ranking.

Coverage grows market by market. If you handle rideshare cases elsewhere in Arizona, tell us you exist — it costs nothing and buys nothing, but it gets you looked at. All states · How we work
